What participants said about
the 2004 workshop:
Excellent
workshop regarding challenges, about publicity and recruitment relating
to clinical research.
This
program will equip researchers to more effectively engage the public
with the goals, benefits/risks, and process of their research in
a holistic way.
This
program was extremely informative in many specific areas. I came
away with a lot of great ideas to share with my peers.
Outstanding
and very relevant. Usually,
when I go to these type of things, I take home stuff that I can
use to either help me understand the reserach process, or do my
job better. This program gave me ways to make the process better
for research subjects!
This
half-day workshop, held November 5th 2004 at the UW Faculty club,
focused
on providing researchers and clinical trial participants with ideas
and strategies for communicating with potential research subjects
and the media.
Workshop attendees learned how to talk about scientific research
and how to engage the community in a dialogue about the barriers
that prevent people from enrolling in clinical trials.
