Technical Assistance
Sites may prompt you if you need a plug-in or program to view their
content. They may also provide a link to the needed site. However,
if you need want to see whether you have the software already, follow
these instructions: On your computer go to the my computer icon.
Click on control panel. Click on add/remove programs. A table will
come up. If you have Shockwave, Adobe Reader, or QuickTime they
will be listed here. If not, you can go to the sites below for directions
on downloading and installing the programs. After installing it's
always a good idea to restart the computer.

Adobe Acrobat Reader
Acrobat Reader is used widely to read 'pdf' files, which allow documents
to be viewed in an easy-to-print format. The free download is available
from Adobe.

Macromedia Flash
Macromedia Flash Player lets you view animation and entertainment
through your Web browser. It is available for both Windows and Macintosh
computers, and it works with the world's leading Web browsers. Download
the installer from the download page. Macromedia has complete instructions
for both Windows and Macintosh computers. If you encounter problems
installing Flash, please check with the Shockwave and Flash Installation
Support Center, or check with the Shockwave and Flash Frequently
Asked Questions guide.
Download QuickTime
You can download Apple's QuickTime 5 free of charge from the QuickTime
download page. QuickTime 5 is currently available for Mac OS and
Windows 95, 98, NT, and 2000. Apple asks that you fill out your
e-mail address (required) and your name (optional) in a form. Then
click on the "Download QuickTime" button to start downloading
the installer. When prompted, choose "Save to Disk" and
specify the directory to which you wish to download the installer.
In Windows Explorer or Macintosh Finder, double-click the installer
file to begin the installation. Follow the instructions in each
of the screens.
Download RealPlayer
RealPlayer is available free from RealNetworks. To make sure your
computer can run RealPlayer, you can check the system requirements
table, which explains what hardware is required for specific operating
systems.

Shockwave
Necessary for any sites that rely on shockwave animation
Download VRML 2.0 Viewer and Windows Media Player
Use this viewer to see the full effect of Web Pages that have virtual
reality features. The media player plays most multimedia videos
on the web. (Some require Quick Time) This site will download and
install the viewer or player for you. While you're there you may
want to check and see what other updates are available for your
computer. NOTE: This is an updated version of VRML 2.0
